Cailiphos' Answers:

1. My oldest "character" is technically one called Zait (I think, might be Anita or zINK) who appears in an image I did for a friend, :icondarkscarygothicotaku:. However, he was scrapped after a little page dedicated to him. The oldest character that I still use is Aix.

2. If they have, I cannot actively say how much they have influenced or inspired an original character of mine. Though, I think that Wys was subconsciously inspried by Pons, who belongs to :iconfallingfreely:. There are uncanny similarities that I certainly didn't plan, so that's why I think it's more coincidental or subconscious.

3. Arabian/Middle-Eastern/Indian/Greek culture/stories/style have probably prompted some of my headworld things. Basing certain systems off of the Greek Pantheon for gods, I've been working on a hierarchy system akin to theirs, or as a basis for organization. However, my headworld(s) have been spawned to accomodated certain characters I've created, to give them more depth, though to what ends, I cannot say.

4. Overrated: I don't know at this exact moment. I usually only get games that interest me. I guess, sports games are, generally, overrated to me. Playing a sport digitally seems a lot less entertaining than actually going out and doing it.
Underrated: Remember Me - the implications of the game and the sociopolitical critique that can be seen as a central theme for the game just makes me love the game on so many more levels than just gameplay.

5. Mordin Solis, Mass Effect 3. It is sad, but it was more frustating as to how powerless the protagonist is in this situation, despite having demonstrated so much more impact and ability in prevoius instances of similar gravity and type. I suppoe that part of the point is to show that the protagonist is vulnerable and not beyond powerlessness, but the events that culminated into that moment just left me bitter.

6. Avenue Montagne. It's a nice French film.

7. Nope. I will sometimes find songs that suit particular characters though. For example, the "theme" for Aix is "Menouthis", by E.S. Posthumous.

8. Anywhere? If we are being fantastical a world or universe that is not this one; it could be one I've created or one someone else has created, even an undeveloped one that shapes itself before my very eyes. Realistically, I want to visit India and experience the culture and sights.

9. A strange question, only because I usually distance myself between my creations and don't have a level of attachment in that I do not design how they react to how I draw them/what I have them doing. So, I draw them as I have imagined they are or what they would do and that is them; whether or not they enjoy it is irrelevant in that they are experiencing it as they are, indepentent of my intervention, if that makes sense. However, I would like to think that my creations and I are in good standing with one another.

10. If I could be the god of anything, I guess I would be the god of gods? I'd be at the top; limitless free time! However, if I had to pick an actual posistion, I'd be the god of imagination.

Caliphos' Questions:

1. How old were you when you first stared to take an active interest in art as a career path? If not a career path, then as a continued hobby?
2. What draws you into a piece, what makes you truly enjoy and experience a piece of art to its fullest?
3. What are the most common techniques you use in your pieces and to what effect (or for what desired effect)?
4. What do you want to accomplish most with your art?
5. If you have OC's, what would they want you to change about them the most?
6. If you don't have OC's, then what do you want to change about your art (style, technique, etc.) the most?
7. Who has most inspired your art style or artistic direction?
8. Do you have a favorite artist (it doesn't have to be someone on DA)? If so, who are they?
9. Do your OC's reflect aspects of your real self in them, if so, what parts?
10. What types of music do you like to listen to when creating art, if at all (feel free to list off songs, artists, genres, etc.)?

1. I've been making and enjoying making art for as long as I can remember, but I probably seriously started considering as a career path sometime in middle school.

2. Hard question! So many things. Composition, contrast between light and dark, colors, anatomy, creativity, emotion, etc. I love looking at swirling organic lines and figures and creatures more than architectural stuff. Generally, the more details the better.

3. For my drawings...I don't know. The techniques vary and the desired effects vary. I can tell you I'm detail oriented in a lot of my drawings though. For my paintings I try to make interesting compositions, negative space, and flow to make the eye move throughout the piece. I don't know if I succeed at this or not.

4. I think what I would like to accomplish most with my art is to create what I see in my mind to some degree and not have it look like shit. I would love to make a graphic novel or two, even if it's just for myself, though a fan would be nice. I would love sustain myself financially by making art.

5. "STOP MAKING ME SUFFER."

6. I want to be able to draw people in more dynamic poses without their anatomy looking wonky, and I want to be able to draw backgrounds/environments like... at all. Even a little bit. That'd be nice.

7. I'm not sure. Nothing particular comes to mind.

8. Nope. Though there are some here on DA that I enjoy watching regularly: :iconclintcearley: :iconshycustis: :iconcoeykuhn: :iconcaliphos: (yes, your creativity knows no bounds!) :icongreekceltic: :iconbeastofoblivion: :iconemilywarrenart: :iconpallanoph: :iconlilaira: :iconsilvermender: and more...

9. Faye started out very similar to me because I wanted a character that I could easily write, though she's changed some and is more dramatic. We started with the same hair style and somewhat similar clothing style. Now I have a closer hair style to Saemus XD

10. I usually put my music on shuffle while I create art, unless I find something that fits my mood at the time. I've found that I listen to the Phantom of the Opera movie soundtrack a lot when I'm working in my office, I like to sing out loud with it when I'm alone.
